How affiliate links are identified

A page that contains an affiliate link shows this notice before the first one:

Each compensated link is labelled “affiliate link” in its visible text and is marked as sponsored in the page code. It opens in the same tab. The disclosure sits next to the commercial recommendation, not only in the footer. No email address, calculator entry or health information is added to the link.

How we choose and order options

Software profiles are listed alphabetically and evaluated against the same seven workflow questions, whether or not a vendor pays us. Commission cannot influence a factual score or eligibility result, and useful noncommercial options stay included. Desk research, hands-on use and independent testing are labelled separately; an untested product is never called tested.

When a program changes

One switch turns every affected commercial link back into an ordinary link to the provider’s official page, so the free information stays useful. If a provider link fails, we show the verified official source or remove the commercial link.
